PORTRAITS FOR THE FUTURE

Project Details

This video is a repost from the original publication from the National Gallery of Art DC named "Portraits for the Future".

The National Gallery of Art has commissioned the great FGreat Studio to create this beautiful piece of work. It consists of presenting the wonderful work of Dalton Paula, a Brazilian painter that took part in the National Gallery of Art's exhibition. FGreat Studio traveled along Paula to Quilombo Kalunga where he found his inspiration from.

The music we developed sought by typical Afro-Brazilian instruments as well as rhythms, musically painting the scenarios as Dalton explains consistently how he develops his work and the techniques and inspirations that he uses. Using rhythms like Afoxé, Samba, Capoeira, Baião e Maracatu, we could give a brief overview of rich Brazilian music.
