‘Five Drunken Princes’ – A Rare Surviving Scroll by Master Ren Renfa

Project Overview

The sound design asked for a strong enhancement of the horse scenes. The overall mixture of music, images, and sounds was orchestrated to bring extra life to the narrative that shows this unique moment of the future emperor of the Tang Dynasty.

Sound Design

The emphasis on the men shouting as they were drunk, and the horses galloping were a focus. The automation on the mix, which was tinkering with the sound stereo image, also aided the live and movements of those five princes returning home.
